Application context

The system was installed in an industrial facility specialized in the production of welded pipes and precision drawn pipes made of stainless steel and nickel alloys, serving highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceutical, food & beverage, petrochemical, and automotive industries.

Cleaning process challenges

The production process required a solution capable of addressing complex challenges: removing stubborn residues such as oils, greases, and welding slags; achieving deep internal cleaning of pipes; preventing corrosive phenomena such as pitting; and preserving surface passivation.
At the same time, it was essential to avoid any abrasion or residual contamination, without compromising productivity and while ensuring long-term process stability.

The Firbimatic solution: EK 800 dual-chamber cleaning system

To meet these requirements, Firbimatic developed the EK 800 dual-chamber cleaning system—an industrial plant designed to handle complex processes and large-scale production while maintaining high quality standards.
The dual-chamber configuration allows two different product types to be processed simultaneously, optimizing production flow and improving overall efficiency. The system can handle pipes up to 18 meters in length, with a loading capacity of up to 6 tons, and performs a complete internal and external cleaning process followed by total forced vacuum drying.
